WOW!
Here at Oughtibridge we aim to stimulate and excite our children into using their investigative skills to the full.
At the start of a lesson we demonstrate or ask the children to participate in a two minute activity that gets their taste buds tingling and their minds wanting more! The WOW factor is proving to be a major motivator in itself.
Our pupils learn the skills of scientific enquiry through their involvement in collecting evidence and investigating within the three areas.
At Oughtibridge we do not underestimate the power of talk when it comes to developing understanding. Asking and answering questions is a full time occupation for our teachers and parents. We encourage parental support by asking our parents to find out answers together by talking but also by investigating the "home laboratory" in the kitchen, bathroom or garden.
