As part of developing the children’s speaking and listening in school we ran our first ever ‘Off by Heart’ poetry competition. This event tied in with National Poetry Day.
The children had to learn a poem off by heart and perform it for their class. The performances were judged and a winner was selected from every class in school. It was a very difficult job to choose a winner and that is why there were some ‘joint’ winners in some classes. All the children did very well and we were impressed with their efforts and poetry choices. We hope you enjoy the performances of our winners and as a special treat one of the infant classes gave a super rendition of ‘The Ning, Nang, Nong’
