Well done!
Thank you and well done to all the Y3/4 children taking part in ‘Countdown to Christmas’, it was wonderful. Many thanks to the teachers and Teaching Assistants for all their hard work in ensuring the production went so well. Thank you also to all the parents who supplied costumes etc.
The Infant performances of ‘Ned’s Christmas Discovery’ begin at 2.15pm on Wednesday and Thursday and the gates into school will be open from 1.30pm.
We are hoping to have DVDs of both the Y3/4 and Infant concerts - details to follow.
The draw to win the SOS Christmas Hamper will take place on Monday 14th December so please ensure you have sent your money and ticket stubs back by Friday 11th December. The hamper includes a £30 voucher to spend at Crawshaw Butchers along with lots of goodies from Marks and Spencers and is on display in the Coumes Reception.
The Y5/6 children will be enjoying a World War II day on Tuesday 8th December where they can come dressed up as evacuees or any other character from World War II.
We would like to remind you that any money for the Y5/6 trip to the pantomime needs to be in school no later than Wednesday 9th December.
As it is getting to that time of year where there may be a possibility of snow and a need for school closures we would like to inform you that if the school does need to close for any reason it will be announced on Radio Sheffield, a message will be on the homepage of the website and an email will be sent by Parentmail to all those who are registered.
We are using the text message service provided by Parentmail if we need to cancel any after school clubs or if the school needed to close for any reason during the day. Please note that if the message asks you to contact school to confirm receipt you do need to telephone the school as there isn’t a facility to text a message back to school.
Tickets for the Y5/6 Carol Concert on Thursday 17th December are selling fast so if you would like to come along please return your slips as soon as you can.
We have a vacancy for a Lunchtime Supervisor to work in the Don building with the junior pupils for 1 hour 5 minutes on Wednesday of each week only commencing January 2010. They will also be used to cover any absences on an ad-hoc supply basis. The hourly rate is £6.38 and if you are interested, please contact the Coumes Office.
Tricky Wingers are coming in to work with the children for the next two Thursdays.
Congratulations to Lisa Calderbank who is the winner of this months SOS lottery draw and has won £30.
SOS have sent out a questionnaire this week and would really appreciate your comments. Please return the questionnaires by Monday 7th December.
Thank you to everyone who donated show boxes for the Christmas Child Appeal. We collected 82 shoe boxes.
