Well done!
Well done to all the infant children on their stunning performances of Ned’s Christmas Discovery. They were brilliant! Many thanks to all the teachers and Teaching Assistants for their hard work – the costumes, props and scenery looked magnificent!
We would like to remind you that it is the Christmas Lunch on Monday. Any pupils who have NOT preordered and paid for their lunch will need to bring sandwiches. Remember that a full week for dinners next week will be £7.48 unless your child is in FS and KS1 when it will be £5.61 due to their Christmas Party.
The Christmas Parties are on Tuesday for FS and KS1 Stage who do not need to lunch that day and on Wednesday for Y3/4 who will need lunch. Kimmo will be entertaining the children at both parties. Please send your donations of food in a clearly labelled tin so that we are able to return them to you.
The Y5/6 concert is on Thursday afternoon at 2.30pm in the Coumes Hall. The gates will be open from 2pm. Unfortunately all tickets have now sold out for this concert.
Any Y5/6 pupils who are going to the pantomime on Tuesday may take a small packet of sweets to eat in the interval. They will be returning to school at 6.00pm approximately (dependent on traffic).
When children have done some exceptionally good work or put in an extra effort a postcard is sent home in praise of this effort. Charlie James and Harry Vincent received praise postcards this week.
The choir will be singing in the Infant Playground on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8.40am. The children will need to be at school for 8.30am and will need their Santa hats and warm coats, gloves and scarves. The brass players will be joining them to play Jingle Bells – they too need to be in school for 8.30am.
If you would still like to buy tickets to enter the draw for the SOS Christmas Hamper please ensure your ticket stubs and money are handed to the Coumes office on Monday morning so they can be included in the draw which will take place during morning assembly.
All the KS2 children will be visiting the Parish Church on Friday for their Christmas Carol Service. Please ensure your child is wearing a warm coat as they will be walking to church.
Could all pupils in Y5/6MD and Y5/6FM please remember to bring in their black clothes for the Street Dance performance on Monday.
Bradfield Tennis Club have kindly donated a bag of tennis balls to school.
We do have spaces for anyone who would like to learn to play a brass instrument. The lessons are 20 minutes each week and cost £53 per term plus a £25 per year instrument hire charge. Please contact Mrs Little for more information.
If you do not want your child’s image to be included in the DVDs which are being produced of the FS and KS1 and also Y3/4 Christmas productions please return your slip by no later than Tuesday 15th December.
Still have some Christmas shopping to do? Why not buy online and use www.easyfundraising.org.uk/sossheffield website and raise funds for SOS whilst you shop. Thank you to those we have done already, over £33 has been raised so far.
