Tweak of the Week is ´Think of others´
Don’t forget it is Red Nose Day next Friday and all children are welcome to come along dressed in big red clothes for a donation of £1 to the Red Nose Charity. Please only dress in big, red tops and not trousers or skirts as this may cause health and safety problems. Please also note that no face paints or hair dye are to be used. Thank you.
A huge thank you to everybody who came along to the Ladies Night a total of £300 was raised. SOS would like to welcome Lisa McDonagh to the group as treasurer and she will be taking over from Jane Fenton after Easter. Thank you to Jane for all her hard work.
SOS are going to be looking into trust funds and grants to see if there are any available to apply for to cover the costs of larger projects. It would mean looking through the internet and working as a small group separate to the usual SOS fundraising events. If you would be interested in helping to do this, as it can be done in your own time at home, please contact the school office. Thank you.
The hamper which is being raffled by SOS will be on display in the Coumes Building during the parent’s evenings. It is worth over £60 and there will now be a second prize of a box of biscuits and a bottle of whisky. Raffle tickets will be sent home on Monday at a cost of £1 each, could these be returned by Friday 23rd March so that the draw can take place during assembly on Monday 26th March.
Could all Puffin Book orders please be in sent into school on Monday. Thank you.
Thank you to everybody who sent in orders for School Link from the Christmas catalogue. We have received £39 to spend on books.
Please note the final date for milk orders have now passed and no further orders will be accepted.
The football team played again this week and drew 1-1 against Malin Bridge and lost 3-1 against Hillsborough. This season’s games have now finished but there may be some friendly matches coming up.
Bradfield Tennis Club are starting a mini tennis session for 8 to 11 year olds in Coronation Park, Oughtibridge on Saturday 17th March 10 – 11am. Please contact Steve on 2830381 for further information. (Please note that this information is being passed on to you by the school and parents will be responsible to ensure that any CRB checks have been completed).
Sheffield City Council are conducting a survey of parents and carers regarding current and future demands for childcare provision. This survey is running for 4 weeks across all areas of the city. If you would like further information please telephone 2813792.
