Well done!

The Oughtibridge Primary School ‘Cookathon’ is on Tuesday 16th March. Remember there will be no hot school meals but if your child is on free school meals you can still order a Grab a Bag. If your child does not wish to eat their pasta as their lunch (they can still take part in the cooking session) they can still bring sandwiches. Please remember to get as many pledges as possible to sign up to take part in the ‘Cookathon’ on Tuesday. Please send your pledge sheets to school on Monday so the amount of pledges can be counted and the winner of the Italian hamper can be announced on Tuesday. The cost of the meal (Tomato Pasta, breadroll, ice cream and chocolate sauce) is £1, please remember to put this in a sealed envelope clearly marked ‘Cookathon Lunch’.

On Monday the Y3/4 children are invited to come dressed as Vikings as part of their current project.

Don’t forget it is Sports Relief on Friday. Children can come in their sports gear and their red stripy socks – we still have a few left if you would like to purchase them before Friday. The children will all be doing a bit of extra ‘Keep Fit’ – hoola hooping in the hall.

The Girl’s Football Team won their tournament at Stocksbridge High School on Monday night – Well done Girls. The two boys’ teams played well and came third and fourth in their tournaments. Well done to everyone who took part – thank you to Mr Delaney and Mrs Raynor for organising the teams.

The Basketball team are in action again on Monday night – good luck to you all.

Praise postcards have been sent home to Oliver Credland, Finley Bates and Joanna Crapper who all wrote a fantastic dragon story. Marcus Turner also received a postcard for working hard and concentrating on his writing.

We would like to remind you that the total amount of £315 for the Y6 PGL residential needs to be paid by Thursday 1st April.

Could we please remind all pupils in Y3/4BW who are attending the Dance Festival at the Octagon Centre on Wednesday that they will need to bring a packed lunch with them. Tickets have been sent home but if you would like an extra ticket please see Miss Lowey.

Please remember that the school milk orders need to be returned to school no later than Friday 19th May – no further orders will be accepted after this date.

We have been advised of some free dance sessions at Stocksbridge Leisure Centre each Tuesday from 3.30 until 4.15pm which are being run by Activity Sheffield.

If you have any Nestle Book tokens please send them into school as we have a bonus banking period where each tokens worth twice as much to spend on books. We are also collecting Tesco and Sainsburys vouchers, Flora tokens and used stamps.

Message from Sara Millard, Chair of Governors
Governors need to appoint a Community Governor to help us give the children in school the best possible education. The person we are looking for should not have a child already in school. The role asks them to give a minimum of 20 hours of their time, visiting school at least once a year during the day and contributing to our meetings. If you know of anybody who may be interested please contact Sara direct on 2864427

A reminder that the full amount of £54 for the Y4 residential trip to Castleton was due to be paid by Wednesday 10th March. Could any outstanding money please be sent to the school office on Monday.
