It has been noted that some children are arriving at school early. Children should not be left on the school premises before 8.40am and the school cannot be responsible for them before this time. Thank you.
Thank you to everyone who purchased books from the School Link catalogue – we have received a voucher to the value of £18.30 to spend on books for the school.
There are 10 more places available on the cycling proficiency course and these are available on a first come first served basis for all Y6 children. If you are interested please collect a form from the Coumes office.
Logo Leisurewear is now doing a PE Kit in a Bag for £6.50. This includes a white t-shirt, black shorts and either a red or navy bag. These can be ordered via the usual order form from the drawer in the Coumes building.
We have been sent details of a Spring Bank Soccer Camp run by SWFC to be held at the Niagra Sports and Social Club. The cost of the camp is £40. If you would like further details please contact 2212215 direct. Please note that this information is being passed on to you by the school and parents will be responsible to ensure that any CRB checks have been completed.
We have been advised of a competition which Blackwell’s Bookshop are running for the launch of the new Harry Potter book in July. To win all you have to do is imagine there is going to be more than one Harry Potter adventure and design the cover for the book. All entries must be sent to Blackwell Univeristy Bookshop, University of Sheffield, Mappin Street, Sheffield, S1 4DT along with your name, age and contact details along with the school name to arrive no later than Friday 29th June. There are two age groups, 5 to 10 and 11 to 16, and the prize is a copy of the new book.
We would like to wish all the Y6 children who are doing their SATs next week and also the Y3/4 children doing their tests the best of luck.
The Mayfest is being held on the Millennium Green on Saturday 12th May from 1pm. Oughtibridge Band will be playing along with a chance to join in Maypole dancing with plant stalls, tombola plus many more. Entrance is free of charge.
