GENERAL INFORMATION

Tweak of the Week is ´Aim High´

A reminder that if you have any pre-school children who were born between 1st September 2002 and 31st August 2003, the application to apply for a school place should be with pupil admissions by 31st January. You can apply online at www.sheffield.gov.uk/pupiladmissions

A note that no holiday will be authorised during SATS and the 2 weeks prior to these. The dates of the SATS this year are as follows:

Y6KS2 SATS14th – 18th May
Y3/4/5Optional SATS14th – 18th May
Y2Teacher assessmentsmid April – end May

Could we please remind parents that there should be no parking on the zigzag lines outside school. It could be a danger to children by parking here and we request that you park your cars in a considerate manner. Thank you.

Thank you to everybody who purchased books from the School Link catalogue, school has received a voucher for £48.50 to spend on books for the library/classrooms.

SOS would like to say thank you to everybody who bought Christmas/Chocolate puddings, a total of £214 was raised and they have also received a cheque for £155 from the Bags to School collection. All of this money has gone to the fund to buy new school books.

SOS will also be holding a meeting on Wednesday 24th January straight after school in the Don Hall to discuss the forthcoming Ladies Night. If you are able to help in anyway please come along to this meeting – children are of course welcome.

If anybody has any old mobile phones could you please send them to the school office where SOS will be trading them in with Envirofone to raise money. Thank you.

Can we also remind you that medicine can only be given to children during school if they are prescribed for 4 doses per day. If this is the case we require a letter stating the child’s name, the dosage required and storage instructions.

The school dinner menu will be changing from Monday 22nd January and details of the changes will be in next weeks newsletter.

We will be holding a presentation from Nick Williams about Birds of Prey and the Living World on Thursday 25th January for the whole school. Calendars will be available to buy at a cost of £3 each and photos for 80p each/2 for £1.50 and 3 for £2. All money to be brought in on the day.

CLASS NEWS AND INFORMATION

Mrs Wilson’s class will be taken by Mrs Hunt on the morning of Monday 15th January.

Please ensure that all homework is returned to school on the date required.
