Well done!
Thank you to all the parents who were able to attend the Transition Meetings held in school this week. A reminder that Y2 children moving to Y3 will need to bring fruit and vegetables for their morning snack as this is not provided for KS2 children.
I was really pleased to see so many parents at the Celebration of Work afternoon. Thank you.
The Y5/6 concert ‘Sheffield Flood’ is on Tuesday at 2pm and 6.30pm. Please make sure you have a ticket. The bottom gate will be open from 1.30pm.
The Y6 leaver’s assembly is in the Coumes Hall at 9.30am on Thursday 19th and we are looking forward to seeing as many Y6 parents as possible. The bottom gate will remain open until after the event.
Please ensure that permission slips for the Y5/6 Basketball Team reward day with the Sheffield Sharks have been returned to school by Tuesday 17th and that children have their appropriate PE kit.
Please note that the milk order has now been placed with the dairy so no further milk orders can be accepted. Thank you
‘Move up’ day was a huge success and the children enjoyed meeting their new teachers. The Y2 children were able to have dinners, playtimes and assemblies in the Don Building for the whole week whilst the Y6 children were on their residential visit.
Thank you to all the children who went on the Y6 residential visit to Caythorpe Court. They behaved very well and had a go at everything. They didn’t let the ‘summer weather’ dampen their spirits. Many thanks to all the staff who accompanied them.
Please note that we have been advised that the price of school dinners will be increased for the new term to £1.65 per day/£8.25 per week.
You may have noticed that the school is now enclosed by a security fence so there is no cut through the woods and the only entrances to school are through the gates.
May we remind you that children are not allowed to go through the car parks at anytime. This is for their own safety. Thank you.
Could you please ensure that the water bottles which the children bring in only contain water and not squash or juice. Also within the lunch boxes only chocolate biscuits (e.g. kitkat/penguin) are to be provided not chocolate bars or sweets. This is to ensure a healthy lunch. Thank you.
Logo Leisurewear, our uniform suppliers, are working on all orders that have been received over the last two weeks and these will be delivered on Wednesday next week.
Steve Adams has advised us of his Football Fun Camps which are held for boys or girls aged 5-12. There are leaflets with details outside the Coumes office if you would like one.
Worrall Gala will be held this Saturday 14th July 1.00 to 4.00 pm at Worrall Memorial Hall. Bouncy castle, BBQ, refreshments, football tournament, fire engine, face painting, children's games, tombola, bottle stall, cake stall, plants and lots more. Free entrance.
A website has been set up by Glenn Somerset who updates our website with pictures from the ‘Oughtibridge Flood’ please visit www.oughtibridgefloods.co.uk.
