Well done!
We are finding a lot of the letters that we are sending home are blowing around the school field. Please check with your child that you are receiving your letters.
Please note that children are allowed and encouraged to bring a tracksuit/jogging bottom/old sweatshirt to wear over their PE kit when they have outdoor games in the cold weather. They are not allowed to simply wear the sweatshirt they have worn to school that day, they must have a ‘change of clothes’. A change of footwear is also advisable.
The winner of the Sponsored Penalty Shootout football top is Sam Baines in Miss Churchard’s class who raised over £200 in sponsorship. Well done Sam
Thank you to everybody who has entered the ‘Pudsey Makeover’ competition – a total of £39.50 has been raised and the winner will be announced next week. £56.50 has also been raised from the sale of Pudsey biscuits. Thank you to Mrs Revitt who has made all of the biscuits.
Please send in your Samaritans Christmas Child Shoe boxes into the school office before Monday 26th November as they will be collected shortly after this. There are more leaflets available from the Coumes office should you need them. Thank you.
Well done to all the Y3s who have visited Whirlow Farm this week. They have all behaved very well and had a wonderful time. Thank you also to the parents who have prepared the children so well for their visit.
Well done to the football team who won 3 -1 against Shirecliffe on Thursday.

We are having a ‘It’s Good to Talk Day’ on Wednesday 21st November to enhance the children’s speaking and listening skills.
SOS have sent out the Bags 2 School bags this week. The collection date will be on Wednesday 28th November. Please do not send any bags into school before this date as there is no storage for them. Could you please also check the lost property boxes prior to this date as any items that have not been claimed will be sent with the Bags 2 school collection.
Could any money for the FS and KS1 Ugly Duckling performance please be sent into school by Wednesday 21st November. Thank you.
SOS held their AGM on Wednesday and the following people were re-elected, Catherine Askham – Chair, Julie Vincent – Secretary and Lisa McDonagh – Treasurer. They will be providing the funding for the entertainers for the forthcoming Christmas Parties at a cost of around £400. Details of any other monies donated by SOS will be mentioned in future newsletters.

Could we please remind you that we are only allowed to administer medicines that have been prescribed by the doctor to be taken four times daily. If this is the case then please bring the medicine to the school office and complete the appropriate form. Thank you.

CLASS NEWS AND INFORMATION:

Miss Wilkinson’s class will be taken by Mrs Butterfield on Thursday 22nd November.
Miss Churchard’s class will be taken by Miss Stimpson on Friday 23rd November.
Y5/6 FW and TM will be visiting the Church of Ascension on the afternoon of Tuesday 20th November and Y5/6 RW will be visiting Oughtibridge Weslyan Chapel on the afternoon of Friday 23rd November for their RE Project. Please ensure your child has a coat with them.
