NEWSLETTER FOR 19TH MARCH 2007
GENERAL INFORMATION
Tweak of the Week is ´Act On Advice´
The South Yorkshire Police Community Officers for Oughtibridge called into school on Wednesday 14th March to discuss the parking problems being reported by our neighbours on Naylor Road and Alford Avenue. Please be advised that they have stated that they will be actively keeping an eye on the situation for the foreseeable future.
If you are aware of any appointments – medical, music exams, performances, etc – that your child will have during school time, please complete the single sheet absence request form, available online or from the filing cabinet in Coumes Reception, in order that we may advise the class teacher and issue a pass for parents to keep with them in the event of being challenged by a truancy patrol.
Thank you to all the parents who attended the Parents’ Evenings. It was good to see you in School.
Red Nose Day was great fun, it is always lovely to see the children dressed up and raising money for a good cause – we raised a total of £430 including the sale of the noses. Thank you to everyone for their efforts and generosity.
Steve Adams our local football coach was in school on Thursday 15th March coaching the Y1-Y6 children in football skills. A good time was had by all in the spring sunshine – he will be back on Thursday 22nd March and Thursday 29th March for more sessions.
The SOS Easter Raffle tickets have been sent home with the pupils, please ensure your money, stubs and any unsold tickets are returned to school by Friday 23rd March to be entered into the draw. Thank you.
A leaflet regarding Starkicks Fun Football holiday courses has been sent home. Please note that this information is being passed on to you by the school and parents will be responsible to ensure that any CRB checks have been completed.
We have a vacancy in our kitchen for an assistant to the cook. Hours are 11.45-1.15 daily totalling 7.5 hours a week, and the pay rate is £5.83p.h. If you are interested, please contact Elaine in the school kitchen direct on 2864288 Monday to Friday 8am-2pm.
