NEWSLETTER FOR 19th JUNE 2006
GENERAL INFORMATION
Tweak of the Week for week commencing Monday 19th June is ´Express Yourself´.
Don’t forget next week is Arts Week and the children will be spending their time in school involved in lots of interesting and exciting activities around the theme of ‘Africa’.
We will shortly have a vacancy for a Lunchtime Supervisor based in the Don Building (KS2), Monday – Friday for 1 hour 5 minutes per day at £5.93 per hour. Please contact Linda in Coumes Office for more information. .
School uniform can now be ordered any week and if you want to put an order in for next year’s garments, the order form is the parents’ filing cabinet in Coumes reception. Please help yourself. Bags, bottles and hats are available direct from the Coumes office at any time.
We would like to thank SOS for organising the Children With Leukaemia Marathon on Tuesday 13th June. The event was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Please could children collect and bring in their sponsor money by Monday 19th June so that SOS can count it and order all the necessary Cheeky Monkey rewards. Thank you.
Also, if you are intending to go to the Quiz Night with Pie and Pea supper, please purchase your tickets by Tuesday 20th June because unless all the tickets are sold the event cannot go ahead. Please don’t let this become the first event SOS have had to cancel (if it is cancelled, anyone who has already purchased a ticket will receive a full refund).
The children need to bring back the bedding plant they fostered and have been nurturing these past few weeks, on Wednesday 21st June – with the child’s name and class on a label on the pot – ready for collection and judging by the Oughtibridge In Bloom team. We would like to thank all the children who have successfully reared their plant, and also Oughtibridge In Bloom for involving us in their event. .
The Gala is almost upon us, if there is anyone out there who would be able to help out on the day, please contact Mandy in the Coumes office or turn up on the day and make yourself known to any of the Gala officials. ANY help would be most gratefully received. Also, please remember to send in your raffle ticket payment and stub, or unsold ticket, by Wednesday 21st in good time to be included in the draw.
