GENERAL INFORMATION

The Thunk this Week is – ‘If there was no paper, what would we write on?’

Class with the best attendance last week was – Y5/6CD and Y5/6MD
Raffle ticket winner last week was – Ben Askham
Well done!

Very many thanks to Mrs Sue Hill who runs SAGNE the kitchen shop in the village (and is a school governor) for all the wonderful Christmas decorations she has donated to school. We greatly appreciate her generosity and we are looking forward to trimming up the school ready for the Christmas celebrations.

Well done to the Y3/4 classes who went to the Thackray Museum on Friday 13th November, their behaviour was excellent.

Thank you to all the Foundation Stage parents who completed and returned the induction survey. I appreciate all your feedback.

The collection for the Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes is on Monday so if you do have any to donate please bring them to the Coumes office on Monday morning so they can be added to the 43 we have already had donated.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising for Children in Need. We have really enjoyed having all the teddy bears joining us in school. A total of £144.19 has been raised from teddy bear donations and £71.25 from the sale of the Pudsey biscuits made by Mrs Revitt, Mrs Stocks and their team of parent helpers.

All individual photographs have now been received and sent home via your child. Unfortunately there were a significant number of orders with no names on them. We have tried to match the photos to the correct children and have sent them home. If you do still have a query please check your child’s bags before phoning the office. All orders placed directly with the supplier and not through ourselves will be sent direct to your home address.

There will be no choir practice on Thursday as this is the day of the performance at the Arena. Any children taking part need to remember to bring a packed tea, drink, a white polo shirt and black/dark skirt or trousers.

Miss Firth was very proud of the School Council at their meeting which took place in the Bradfield Parish Council meeting room this week. Councillor Reeves and her colleagues observed the proceedings. The children were great ambassadors for the school.

The deadline for orders for the school Christmas Lunch was on Wednesday but if there is anybody who has forgotten to place an order please let us know by Monday morning as it will not be possible to cater for late orders.

The deadline for receiving any milk orders is Wednesday 25th November.

Thank you to everyone who has returned any ‘lost/forgotten’ school reading books. Well done.

Y5/6 Word War II Day
Due to Mr Milner’s absence World War II Day has been postponed. A new date will be given as soon as it has been arranged. Keep your costumes safely to one side.
