Well done!

Well done to the Basketball Team who were runners up in the local schools competition this week, despite some ‘gigantic’ opposition. This puts them through to the City Finals to defend their title. We are very proud of the hardworking team.

We would like to advise you that week commencing Monday 3rd March is our English Week and this year it is linked to ‘Diversity’. We will be exploring this theme throughout the week. Primary Colours are going to be leading class sessions on Monday 3rd and Matt Black (a poet) will be in school on Thursday 6th to entertain the children with aspects of his work.

Bradfield Secondary School’s Science and Technology Departments are working with the Y5 children each Thursday afternoon during this half term. They are designing a Formula 2 solar powered car.

The SEAL theme this term is ‘It’s good to be me’.

Thank you to everyone who donated items for the Bags 2 School collection last November, SOS has received a cheque for £125.

SOS are holding their next meeting on Wednesday 27th in the Don Building Staff room. They will be discussing the forthcoming Fashion Show along with the Easter Hamper raffle, the Marathon Challenge and a possible quiz. If you would like to get involved please come along to this informal meeting.

Could we please remind you that all children should be bringing a water bottle to school each day.

The last Y3’s swimming lessons will be on Thursday 13th March.

We do have a lot of lost property particularly in the Don Building. If you do know that your child has lost anything please check the lost property box. Also within the Coumes office we do have a lot of lost jewellery and personal items which will be disposed at the end of next week.
