Well done!

The One Show - Well done to the children in Mr Delaney’s class who were a credit to the school. The BBC came into school on Tuesday afternoon to film in the classroom, interview some pupils, Mr Delaney and Mrs Munt. We are led to believe that this will be shown at some point next week. However watch this space as Mr Delaney has been asked to go to London and sit on the sofa alongside the main presenters to give his interview live!

Egg rolling will be happening during the week (weather permitting) so don’t forget to send a decorated egg on Monday in a named container if you would like your child to participate.

May we please remind you that the toilets within school, both children’s and staff, should not be used by parents or non school children unless it is an absolute emergency. By allowing parents and children to enter the building to use these facilities we are breaching our safeguarding policy. If they are needed in an emergency a member of staff will need to accompany you to the facilities.

Well done to the Y5 Orienteering team who came 3rd in the event on Tuesday evening at Bradfield School. This means they are now through to the finals. Thank you to Mr Milner for organising this.

Please note that children are not allowed on the grassed area adjacent to the Coumes playground. It is too muddy to allow the children to go on it. Children are coming to school in a very muddy state which spoils the carpet sitting area for everyone. Children are not allowed to run up and down the banking at any time. Please do not allow children to do this before or after school. Thank you.

The Y3/4 children have an exciting day on Monday 29th March as the Vikings are coming!

We would like to remind you that the total amount of £315 for the Y6 PGL residential needs to be paid by Thursday 1st April.

All pupils who applied to join the morning Judo club have got a place. The club will start on Friday 23rd April at 7.40am.

We have 5 chicks in FS2 which hatched this week to very proud teachers and children.

Don’t forget to log onto the school website where you will find lots of exciting films to watch of our children doing some exceptionally talented things. The latest contribution is the Thriller dance from Y5/6CD and the Jungle Boogie from Y3/4BW. Just click on the Education Activities link to view the list of videos.

All the children in school are participating in a Dance afternoon on Thursday 1st April, please ensure your child has their PE kit in school. SOS are providing refreshments for the children at the end of the day.

The draw to win a wonderful hamper which includes a £25 voucher to spend at Crawshaws along with Easter eggs, biscuits and much more with a second prize in the raffle is a £50 voucher to spend at Captured Photography is taking place on Monday. Please ensure your money and ticket stubs have been returned to the office by Monday morning to have a chance of winning.

We have a lot of lost property particularly in the Don building with no names on them including winter coats, football boots and even skirts! Please come and have a look to claim any items that may be your childs.

We have been advised of a health and well being activity and games session being held at Bradfield Village Hall on Saturday 27th March from 3.30pm until 5.00pm. This is being run by Kracklet which involves some of the pupils from school as well as ex pupils.

Foundation Stage classes would like donations of empty cardboard cylinder containers that have a base such as pringle boxes, gravy granule containers. If you are able to help could these be brought in on Monday please.

There is a special Easter lunch menu next week so please check the menu on the back of the newsletter for details.
