Raffle ticket winner last week was – Imogen Andrews
Well done!

Well done to the choir who joined 3979 other children to create the ‘Young Voices’ choir at the Arena last night. The atmosphere was electric and they sang their hearts out. and were a real credit to the school. Thank you to Miss Firth, Miss Holt and Mrs Ward for organising and running this visit.

It is the Y3/4 ‘Countdown to Christmas’ concert on Wednesday and Thursday. Please ensure you have a ticket for each person including children over 1 year as there will be no admittance for ‘extras’. The gates will be open for these performances.

Congratulations to Mrs Higgins who had a beautiful baby girl on Friday 20th November. Miss Alexa Beau Higgins weighed in at 9lb 3oz, mother and daughter are doing very well.

Well done to Robin Moorby, Kate Davies, Zoe Muirhead, Neve Quince, Finley Bates, Natasha Adey and Isabelle Harrison, their designs were chosen to be on the front of the official Christmas cards I send out on behalf of the school.

Christmas will arrive in school next week. The staff will be busy ‘trimming up’ on Monday evening and the school post box will be set up. Children can ‘post’ their cards to each other from Tuesday 1st December. Please remember to address the front of the envelope with the person’s christian and surname and to put the class they are in on the front e.g. Y1CL, Y1/2GH etc. A very important thing is to remember to put who it is from inside the card (we have many unsigned cards each year).

The Y5/6 Word War II Day has been rescheduled for Tuesday 8th December.

We have been advised that there have been a couple of cases of headlice within school. By using wet combing regularly you can pick up infection early, treat immediately and help protect your family.

We would like to inform you that next week is assessment week for Y5/6 pupils and week beginning Monday 7th December will be assessment week for Y3/4 pupils.

The deadline for receiving milk orders has now passed and no more orders are able to be accepted.

Could you please send any Nestle book tokens into school as soon as possible because there is a bonus banking week coming up.

Could we please ensure that all uniform is marked with your child’s name and also that your child has only taken home their own uniform as we are still experiencing a lot of missing uniform and PE kits. We also have a lot of uniform in both lost property boxes that have no names on them.

For those pupils who are starting their 1 to 1 tuition in January we would like to inform you that the session finishes at 4.30pm and not 3.45pm as stated on the letter. Sorry for any confusion caused.

CLASS NEWS AND INFORMATION:

Mrs Little’s class will be taken by Mrs Reid on the afternoon of Thursday 3rd December.

After School Club Information

Mr Delaney’s Monday Football club is cancelled.

Playball sessions on both Monday and Wednesdays have now finished until the New Year.

Mrs Little’s Thursday Cookery Club will be on Friday morning.

We would like to advise the pupils involved in the violin lessons that these will commence on Tuesday 5th January.
