Well done!
Could we please ask that all data collection sheets should be returned to the school office, with any amendments made and signed, as soon as possible. Thank you.
If you are wanting to order any individual photos and have not already ordered direct from John Wright Photography you are able to send any monies into school for us to pass on to them. Please ensure that these are received in the office no later than Wednesday 3rd October. Thank you.
Well done to Adele Finley, Amelia Leake, Ellie Green, Alice Maylem, Georgia Holcroft, Georgia Gayle, Georgia Cordwell, Sophie Baker and Claudia Todd (members of the school choir) who have been selling buns to help raise money for a coach to take them to the arena later in the term. So far they have raised £48 from the sale of buns. Thank you to their parents for all their support in providing the buns. They will be selling raffle tickets at 20p each from Monday 1sth October and the first prize will be a food hamper with lots of other prizes to be won. Thank you.
Thank you to all the parents who came to school for the parents evenings this week. It was lovely to see you all in school.
Could you please ensure that children are collected from school promptly from the after school clubs. There have been instances when parents have been late picking up their child, there is no supervision in school once the clubs have ended. May we also ask that parents wait outside of the school buildings until the clubs have finished as there is no admittance to the school at this time. Parking in the staff car parks is also not permitted at any time. Thank you.
SOS will be working in the school garden tomorrow, Saturday 29th September, from 11am. They are clearing the garden so that more paving can be laid and pots bought so that the children will be able to walk around the garden easier and get involved with the planting of herbs and bulbs. Please come along with your gloves, tools, black bags and flasks – chocolate will be provided!
SOS have also sent out details of their forthcoming Autumn Fayre on Saturday 13th October. If you can help on the day at all please complete the form sent out and return as soon as possible or contact Catherine in the Coumes office. Don’t forget donations of books, videos and tombola items are needed. Please send these into school to the Don office. Thank you. Raffle tickets will be sent out next week.
Thank you to the parents from the Foundation Stage class for attending and taking part in the Phonics Workshop. We look forward to seeing you for the Reading Workshop on Wednesday 10th October.
We have been given details of a helpline for parents, Parent Lifeline, where you are able to talk to somebody and there are some courses available to attend. The telephone number is 0114 2726575 and there is information in the noticeboard outside the Don office.
