Well done!
Well done to the choir who took part in the Young Voices concert at the Arena last night. There were some very excited children and it was a wonderful evening. The children’s behaviour was excellent and they were a credit to you and the school.
The choir will be performing again on Wednesday for the Oughtibridge Luncheon Club.
Can we please remind you again that we can only administer medicines to children which have prescribed by the doctor to be taken 4 times a day. If this is the case please ensure that parents personally hand the medicine to the school office and a permission form completed. Thank you.
The Wednesday Premier Multisports session will not be running on Wednesday 12th December due to the Christmas performances but will be moved to Wednesday 19th. A refund will be given direct from Premier Sports for the missed session on 7th November.
We currently have a lot of children off school with a sickness and diarrhoea. Could we please remind you that children should not return to school until 24 hours after the last bout of illness. This will help to prevent the bug spreading. Thank you.
Thank you to everyone who donated shoe boxes for the Samaritans Purse appeal, 88 boxes were collected by them on Wednesday.
Thank you also to everyone who brought in Bags 2 School, these were also collected on Wednesday and SOS will let us know how much has been raised once they receive the cheque.
Additional tickets requested for the FS and KS1 Christmas performance will be issued early next week but we must let you know that these are very limited and not all requests will be fulfilled.
Could we ask that the Y3/4 children are brought to their classroom for 5.30pm for their evening performance on Thursday. They will then be able to be collected after the show at 6.45pm.
When attending any of the forthcoming performances could we please ask the audience to arrive in plenty of time so that they are seated before the performances begin. Thank you.
We have been given details of 2 parent consultation events being held by PPEL at Royd Nursery Infants School which are looking at how parents would like to engage in their children’s early learning. These sessions are taking place on Monday 3rd December at 9am and Tuesday 4th December at 1pm.
Wharncliffe Side Community Centre is holding their Christmas Craft Fayre on Saturday 1st December between 11 and 3pm. There will be a variety of stalls and Father Christmas will also be there.
A MP3 player has been found in the Coumes yard. Please come to the Coumes office if you think it may be yours.
