Roman Day

On March 3rd 2006 Years 3 and 4 stepped back in time to the Roman era. We had a fantastic day! We all dressed up (even the teachers!) and got to prepare Roman food, make Roman sandals, wear wreaths of honour and play Roman games. Later on we enjoyed a Roman feast of stuffed dates, field mice shaped bread rolls (we didn’t fancy the real thing!), olives, apples dipped in honey, grapes, and authentic Roman bread.
